About me

I was born and raised in Preveza, a small yet beautiful town located in the northwestern part of Greece.
I am currently an Associate Professor in Economics at the American University in Bulgaria, as well as an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham.
I have earned a PhD in Economics from the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. I have received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the University of Ioannina, Greece.
I have previously taught in the University of Guelph and the University of Birmingham and I have also joined the International Monetary Fund 's Research Department as a Ph.D. intern in the Fund Internship Program (FIP) and as Visiting Scholar.

My research focuses on Environmental policy, Climate Change and Natural Disasters.
I like to think of myself as a passionate educator and a curious researcher.
